Suicide Bombing Kill 26 in Afghanistan

News Desk: On Sunday, a suicide car bomber hit an army base in Afghanistan assassinating at least 26. This has been declared as one of the most ghastly attacks in recent times.

The assault transpired on the outskirts of Ghazni city, capital of the eastern region of Ghazni, which has witnessed periodic conflict between the Taliban and administration.

It came as the administration and Taliban are committed in peace conversations to stop the conflict in the underprivileged nation that has slain tens of thousands of inhabitants in the last twenty years.

“We have received 26 bodies and 17 wounded so far, all of them are security personnel,” Baz Mohammad Hemat, director of Ghazni hospital, said to AFP.

Nasir Ahmad Faqiri, from the Ghazni local commission, verified the number of casualty.

Interior ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said, a suicide bomber entered the army base with an automobile loaded with explosives.

However, no organization claimed responsibility of the assault so far.
