News Desk: Pictures of a rare fish with human-like teeth that was caught in North Carolina, United States have gone viral on social media.

The pictures were shared on Facebook by Jennette’s Pier, a fishing destination in Nags Head, North Carolina.

It was identified as a sheepshead fish, which has several rows of molars for its crushing prey. The name may have been given due to the similarity of the mouth with that of a sheep.

The fish was reportedly reeled in by Nathan Martin, a regular fisherman on the pier. “It’s a very good fight when you’re fighting on the line, it’s a really good catch, and it tastes very good,” he told McClatchy News.
