Partha Chatterjee’s bail application was again rejected. The Alipore Special CBI Court rejected the bail application of the former Education Minister. Partha applied for bail in the court citing physical illness. His lawyer said that he is old and sick.

There is no way that the investigation will stop if Partha Chatterjee gets bail. CBI lawyer also countered. He said, Partha Chatterjee looked after all the affairs of the Education Department. After that, the court announced, Partha is not getting bail now.

Incidentally, Partha Chatterjee has approached Calcutta High Court seeking bail. The High Court will hear the bail application of the former education minister on October 9.
