A group of Italian researchers at the Roman Hospital said in a statement – “It is clear that there are more mutations in the new Omicron variant than in the Delta variant. Spike proteins (through which the virus enters the human body) are much more complex than the Delta variant.”

However, the researchers also said, “This does not mean that this form is much more frightening than the rest. For now, it should be noted that the virus has only taken another form to infect the human body.”
