The name of the deceased was Bharti Dhara (62), wife of Kashinath Dhara, a resident of the area. The old lady was missing since last Thursday. On Saturday, the old woman’s son Biswanath Dhara opened the cupboard to take out clothes. That’s when he discovered his mother’s dead body in the closet.
He immediately reported to Chinsurah Police Station. Police reached the spot. Bit how did the old lady get inside the closet, or was she killed and hidden by someone, is a mystery. The Police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
The old woman’s son Bishwanath Dhara said that his mother used to live in that house. There was always a quarrel between his parents and he had not seen his mother since last Thursday. When he asked his father about his mother, the father Saud he doesn’t know anythinh.
He then searched for his mother in various places, including his aunt’s house, but could not find her. He also shared this on Facebook. Then he was forced to file a missing diary at Chinsurah Police Station on Friday.
On Saturday morning, while taking out clothes from the closet, he found his mother’s dead body. But how did this happen, he can’t understand anything. Even though parents quarreled, they never got physical.
According to local sources, husband Kashinath often asked his wife for money to drink. Kashinath shared in what she earned as an old maid. And with that there was turmoil in the family.
Devyani Dhara, a local resident, said that the elderly used to live in separate rooms in the same house. The son and daughter-in-law lived in a house next door. Kashinath did not tell his son and daughter-in-law about the disappearance of the old woman. He didn’t see much of a shake. This surprised everyone.
The deceased’s daughter-in-law, Kajal Dhara, has directly complained against the father-in-law. She said, father-in-law could not tolerate the mother-in-law at all. He spoke bad words and quarreled a lot. According to her, the father-in-law had killed the mother-in-law and put the dead body in the cupboard.
