A disturbing video shows the moment a Columbian doctor removed a 7-inch fish from a man’s throat following a bizarre fishing accident.

On 23 January,the patient, a 24-year-old man, was fishing at a lake in the municipality of Pivijay where the accident occurred.

He caught it with his hands after he managed to reel in a fish, and then threw the line back in the water. But a second fish bit his line,at that moment.

He already had the first catch in his hand and pulling in the second fish with his other hand.He didn’t want to lose the new catch, so he decided to put the first catch in his mouth while reeling the line.

Sadly, the first catch didn’t react the way the fisherman wanted it to. The moment it was placed in the man’s mouth, it moved quickly to free itself and ended up getting stuck in the throat.

The man walked to the hospital himself after the incident,but was unable to describe his problem as he couldn’t speak properly.

Doctors performed a quick scan and began the process of removing the fish. A video of the operation, which has now been circulated widely, shows a doctor removing the fish from the man’s oesophagus.

The man was kept in the hospital for observation for more than 2 days. Luckily, he didn’t suffer any serious injury.
