Shanti Prasad Sinha’s bail plea was rejected. For now, he will spend his puja in jail. He was arrested in Group C recruitment corruption case. Former state minister Partha Chatterjee is currently in jail in the recruitment corruption case. He will also spend this puja in jail.

Former Chairman of SSC Advisory Committee Shanti Prasad Sinha was currently in CBI custody at Nizam Palace. Today, Thursday, as his custody period expired, he was again taken to the CBI special court. A request was made by the Central Investigation Agency to take him back into custody.

According to sources, the investigating officers want to interrogate Shanti Prasad as well as Prasanna Roy and Pradeep Singh, the two middlemen in the recruitment corruption case.

CBI alleged that Shanti Prasad used to give jobs to unqualified people in return of money. At the hearing today, his bail plea was rejected. He will remain in jail till October 5.
