The body of missing Police Officer Ratan Kar found from a drain in the forest

Finally, after 4 days, missing Police Officer Ratan Kar was found. Ratan Kar’s body was found in a drain in the forest. The body was found in the forest along the National Highway on the way to Hasimara from Jaigaon. The incident has caused a stir in the area. The whole area is surrounded byhigh-ranking Police officials, including the District Police Superintendent who reached the spot after the body was found.

Ratan Kar was a traffic inspector at Jaigaon Police Station in Alipurduar. His wife lives in Coochbehar with their two children. Ratan Kar used to live alone in the Police accommodation in Jaigaon.

According to family sources, he went to Hasimara on duty on Wednesday but did not return. The concerned family of the missing Police officer then filed a missing diary at the Police Station. But even then Ratan Kar could not be found for the last 4 days. Even rigorous searches were carried out at Jaldapara Sanctuary with Kunki elephants. But the search was a failure. After that,today the body was found in the drain.

The body had started to decompose. The bike he used also found next to his body.A shoe was found a short distance from the body during a search by the dog squad. The body of the dead Police officer showed signs of several injuries. The body was sent for autopsy after recovery. The incident has caused a stir in the area. The Police have started investigation after checking all the aspects.
