Sunil Chhetri’s pregnant wife Sonam is suffering from dengue. She has been admitted to a private hospital in Bangalore.

But according to sources, Sonam is much better now than before. Sunil Chhetri is in Bengaluru on leave from Indian team coach Igor Stimac to be with his wife.

Sonam got fever last week. She was rushed to a hospital in Bangalore on Sunday as her oxygen level dropped. But now Sonam is much better than before. She is recovering slowly.

In a special celebration after the goal against Vanuatu on June 12, Sunil said that he is going to be a father. After the winning goal, the captain of the national team told the whole world this good news by putting the ball inside the jersey and running towards the audience with his finger in his mouth.

The Indian team will go to Thailand to play the King’s Cup in September. But at that time when the delivery date was announced, Sunil asked coach Stimac not to include him in the King’s Cup team.

He wants to enjoy the special feeling of being a father. Incidentally, Sonam had a miscarriage in September 2021. So the whole family is worried because of Sonam’s dengue during pregnancy.
