Brian Lara was sacked by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Daniele Vettori was brought in as the new coach instead of him. Lara was part of Hyderabad’s coaching staff for two years. He joined as batting coach of the team in 2022. And before the IPL in 2023, Tom Moody was replaced by Lara as the head coach. But Hyderabad finished the IPL at number ten.

Meanwhile, Vettori was in charge of RCB from 2014 to 2018. RCB reached the playoffs in 2015 IPL under Vettori’s coaching. And they became runners-up in 2016. Besides, he also handled the responsibility of assistant coach of the Australian team. Vettori was also Bangladesh’s spin bowling consultant. Now he will be seen again in IPL.

In a tweet from Hyderabad, ‘Kiwi legend Daniel Vettori has been appointed as the head coach of Hyderabad.’ In another tweet, the franchise said, ‘Thank you Brian Lara. The Caribbean legend was with us for two years. Best wishes to him for the future.’
