Two experienced coaches Gyan Singh and Ashok Garg have been added to the ad-hoc committee of Indian wrestling, keeping in mind the qualification phase of the Asian Games.
Indian Olympic Association general secretary Kalyan Choubey announced this on Thursday. Preparations for the Asian Games have been halted mainly due to the wrestlers’ agitation against outgoing President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
In this context, Sakshi Malik-Bajrang Punia met Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday. Only then the inclusion of these two coaches was decided. It may be noted that the ad-hoc committee was formed earlier under the supervision of BS Bajwa.
