News Desk: The Uttar Pradesh government has agreed to permit places of adulation to stay open even during the weekend curfew.
The government has however, specified that it won’t allow more than five devotees inside those religious places, at one time. Earlier, the administration had authorized religious places to stay open only from Monday to Friday.
A government representative told, that on the basis of the total area of the premises of those religious places, a maximum of 50 individuals will be permitted inside.
He also said that industrial units would also be permitted to open over the weekend.
“While the government has opened up most places from Monday, curfew will be imposed on weekends to ensure that the rate of Covid infection remains low. However, religious places and industrial units will be permitted to open during these two days. The police have to be polite and sympathetic. It will also ensure that there is no unnecessary crowding at any place,” he explained.
