At the moment there is a lot of speculation about the opening of the new parliament building.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28. In the meantime, 19 opposition parties have collectively announced to boycott the inauguration. However, Naveen Patnaik’s BJD did not join the boycott decision of the opposition parties.
A statement has been issued and informed that the ruling party of Odisha will be present. The BJD believes constitutional institutions should be above any issue that might affect their sanctity and dignity. Andhra Pradesh’s ruling party has also confirmed to attend the event.
