Former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya returned to his Palm Avenue flat today, Wednesday, after a week and a half stay in hospital, after recovering from a complicated pneumonia infection.

On Tuesday, the nursing home authorities in South Kolkata said that even after returning home, physiotherapy, swallow therapy (methods to reduce difficulty in eating) etc. will continue. A team of doctors and trained health workers from the nursing home will visit Buddhadeb at certain times. Medical board members will also visit the patient as needed.

So, that day a team of doctors from the nursing home went to his Palm Avenue home. Collect all the information where he will be kept, how he will be kept, the size of the room etc.

Incidentally, on July 29, the former Chief Minister was admitted to this hospital with acute respiratory problems and associated symptoms. Dr. Sautik Panda, one of the doctors of his medical board, said, “The former Chief Minister has fully recovered and is speaking clearly.”
