
A terrible fire broke out in a high-rise building in Dubai.
Due to which 16 people died. Among the dead are 4 Indians. All the deceased were residents of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
According to a news source in Dubai, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon in the Dera Burj area. Locals saw black smoke coming out of a multi-storey building. The fire department was quickly informed.
Multiple engines worked for more than three hours to bring the fire under control. Initial assumption of the fire department, the fire started from short circuit in that multi-storey.
Four Indians, including a couple, lived in that apartment. Rijesh and his wife Jishi, residents of Malappuram in Kerala, lost their lives in the fire. On the other hand, two residents of Tamil Nadu who died in the fire are Abdul Khader and Saliakund.
According to media sources, apart from 4 Indians, 3 Pakistani citizens and a Nigerian died in the Dubai fire. 10 people were injured in this incident. After rescue, they were taken to a local hospital. Many are hospitalized in critical condition.
