News Desk: The West Bengal School Service Commission has announced that interviews for teacher’s recruitment in upper primary schools in the state will start from next week.
The commission is expecting to wrap up the whole interview procedure within 12 weeks, said West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) Chairman Subhasankar Sarkar.
On Friday, the Calcutta High Court withdrew an interim stay order on the selection of teachers for upper primary schools. This has paved the way for the appointment of 14,500 teachers in the upper primary schools in West Bengal.
However, the commission has allowed the candidates to appeal for a review in case they are not content with the list of interviewees.
Review requests can be mailed either through a registered post or via e-mail, said an official.
For the aspirants of 2016 who’s age has exceeded 40 years, will also be called in case they qualify.
Few candidates have however, moved against the verdict of the commission alleging that the SSC has not followed the prescribed statutes related to the appointment of teachers.
